Incorporated in April of 2020, SME Solutions has been under contract since September 2020 as a sole source prime contractor on engineering services, life cycle surveillance/sustainment, and service life extension programs to the Department of the Air Force – United States of America.

Specific Areas of Subject Matter Expertise:

Design

  • Store flight systems – Guidance Navigation and Control (GNC) flight algorithms, real-time embedded systems and Operational Flight Programs (OFPs), simulation and modeling (6 Degrees-of-Freedom (6-DOF), 3-DOF, Fly-Out Models (FOMs)), Launch Acceptability Region (LAR)
  • Store flight system support equipment – Common Munitions Built-in-test Reprogramming Equipment (CMBRE) Munition Application Program(s) (MAPs), Processor-in-the-Loop (PIL), Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL), mission planning Fly-Out-Model (FOM)

System Platform/Store Integration & Test

  • Store flight system Operational Flight Program (OFP) – platform/store System Integration Lab (SIL), Interface Control Document (ICD) 1553 interfaces
  • Fly-Out-Model (FOM) – Joint Mission Planning System (JMPS) and Next Generation
  • Munition Application Program(s) (MAPs) – Common Munitions Built-in-test Reprogramming Equipment (CMBRE)

Life Cycle Services/Surveillance/Sustainment

  • Services – high performance computing Monte Carlo (MC) analysis and performance analysis/predictions/safety footprints, warranty condition code evaluations/repair services
  • Air to ground Weapon System Evaluation Program (WSEP) - testing, telemetry installation, telemetry data recording, and telemetry data stream reduction/analysis
  • Service Life Extension Programs (SLEP) – Common Munition Built-in-test Reprogramming Equipment (CMBRE)
  • Surveillance programs – teardown, harvest, selection of system component(s) for destructive testing/evaluation, and final reporting on acceptance/non-acceptance to requirements
